RimWorld

I worked as a Game Developer for one year on the Ludeon Studios RimWorld team during the Biotech expansion release cycle. Some of my contributions include:

  • Design and implementation work on features including: reproduction, children, romance, quests, caravan improvements, biosculptor improvements, and more!
  • Work on game systems including AI behavior trees, graphics, mod/XML content loading, and world simulation.
  • Hunting down and implementing optimizations for poorly performing code using a profiler (was able to improve FPS 50%+ in testing against slow gamesaves).
  • Writing content and flavortext for quests, item/character descriptions, menus, alerts, and tooltips.

Texas Choose 'Em

A new flavor of poker that's essentially Texas Holdem except players have additional agency in choosing their cards. The twist is, instead of players building their hands with 5 shared table cards, players claim areas on a 3x3 grid of table cards and build their hand with the cards in the areas they successfully claim.

My prototype has online mulitplayer. Host a private lobby and try it out with a friend! (or play against yourself in an incognito browser window).

Texas Choose 'Em Gameplay
Frictionless

Randomized physics based puzzles. Aim your shapes on a frictionless surface such that one shape touches your opponent's goal before a shape touches your goal. Get three more wins than losses on a level to unlock the next stage.

There's a leaderboard that tracks which players win (or tie) all puzzles in the least number of attempts.
